FAQ
Q1. How to connect the router to the internet?
- Ethernet Cable: If available, this is often the most straightforward method.
- Wi-Fi Repeater (WISP): This mode allows the travel router to connect to an existing Wi-Fi network, such as at a hotel or coffee shop, and create its own private network.
- Tethering: You can tether the router to your smartphone's mobile hotspot via a USB cable.
Q2. How to configure a VPN service?
Navigate to the VPN section in the router's admin panel → Select your VPN provider from the list → Download and upload the OpenVPN or WireGuard configuration file from your VPN provider's website → Enter your VPN account credentials → Connect to a VPN server.
Q3. The router doesn't connect to captive portals in hotels and public Wi-Fi?
MAC Cloning: A common solution is to first connect a device like your phone or laptop to the hotel's Wi-Fi and authenticate through the captive portal. Then, you can use the travel router's MAC cloning feature to "spoof" the MAC address of the authenticated device, tricking the network into giving the router internet access.
