Chapter 3 Printer Configuration
Printer Configuration
Before you add the printer, please try to install the driver of the printer on the PC/laptop. Then connect the PC/laptop to the host router or WAVLINK device.
1. For Windows
Step 1: Click on the Windows icon, then select Settings.
Step 2: Go to Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.


Step 3: Click Add device and then click Add manually.

Step 4: Choose Add a pritner using an IP address or hostname.

Step 5: Enter this printer server's IP address that you have gotten from Device Status in printer server's web management interface.
Step 6: Click Next and select the corresponding driver of the printer.Then follow the picture below to finish the configuration.

2. For Mac
Step 1: Click Apple icon and choose System Preferences.
Step 2: Then click Printers & Scanners.
Please ensure your computer has connected to the printer server or the host router.
Step 3: Click add ‘+’ to set up a printer.
Step 4: The default setting should be ‘Auto Select’, if the system could find the driver, please click add.
Step 5: If the system could not find the driver,please select the driver manually.


Configuring Network Settings

Enter the ip address of the use server in the browser to log in the management page.

In the management page, click on the "Network".
There are serveral information can be configured or changed on "Network":

IP Setting: the Printer Server's current IP setting, Fixed IP and Automatic(DHCP) can be setted according to the setting of the print server.

IP Address: Showing the Print Server's current IP Address.

Subnet Mask: Showing the Print Server's current Subnet Mask.

MAC Address: Showing the Print Server's MAC address.

DHCP Setting: Assign a dynamic IP address to the connected device each time the device connects to a network. Select either to Enable or Disable Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).

IP Address: If the DHCP field is Disabled, you can manually enter an IP Address. If the DHCP field is Enabled, the IP address will be generated automatically.

Subnet Mask: Allow you to enter a subnet mask.

Server Name: Allow you to enter a server name.

Password: Enter the user defined password in order to apply changes to the Network Settings.
If no password has been created, password is not required to make changes to the Network Settings.

Click "Submit" to save changes made to "Network Settings".

Click "Clear" to clear a Password if one has been entered in "Password".
