  1. Insert the connector of the power adapter into the DC input hole on the Printer Server.

  2. Plug the power adapter to a power outlet.

  3. Connect a USB 2.0 Cable (not included) to the USB Port on the Print Server and the other end to a USB port on a Printer.

  4. Connect an CAT5e/6 Cable to the RJ45 Port on the Print Server and a Router or Network Device.

Note: The Power LED becomes green indicates that the Print Server is on and has correctly connected to the Network.

INSTALLATION PREPARATION

  1. Install the printer driver from the website of the printer manufacturer.
  2. Check the ip address of the printer/usb server.

(1) Check the ip address of the printer server in the client list of the router.The mac address of the printer server should be 80:3f:5d:xx:xx

(2) You could also try to check the ip address via the Command of the system.

Go to the Command Prompt (Windows) by pressing the key “windows”+“r” and enter “cmd” or Terminal (Mac OS). Then enter the command “arp -a”. The Print Server’s IP address and MAC address will appear. The MAC address will match the one on the bottom of the Print Server. (The Print Server may take several minutes for it to appear in the arp table).
